HOLLYHOCK SUEDE

This 3 ring belt is the debut style of Déhanche. Hand crafted in Italy from a suede and a soft nubuck backing that feels as luxurious in the hand as when you slip it on your body. The shining hardware adds a touch of polish to an everyday look.

Material: Made from suede calfskin and velvety nubuck leather backing

Hardware: Silver-stone shined hardware buckle, rings and belt-tip

Dimensions: 1 inch tall, fits well with a standard jean

Care: Your Déhanche belt was crafted using the most luxurious skins, which have unique tonal variations, marks, or veins that are natural features and should be considered characteristics of your product, not imperfections.

To ensure that your belt ages beautifully, we recommend following these care instructions:

- Avoid exposing it to water, oil, perfume, or cosmetic products. If your belt does come into contact with water, gently blot it with a soft, light-colored absorbent cloth.
- Keep it away from excessive heat and intense light.
- Refrain from rubbing it against rough or abrasive surfaces, as this may cause light scratches. Instead, gently massage any scratches with a soft, dry cloth.
- When not in use, store your Déhanche belt in its protective velvet bag. Avoid storing it in hot, humid, or poorly ventilated areas, and never store it in a plastic bag.

Fit: Meant to be worn higher on the hips

Responsible measures: Vegetable leather without chrome metals. Zamak allow metal which can be entirely melted down and reused.

Determining the size of a belt to wear can vary depending on if you like to wear it higher on the waist or lower around the hips. On each product page, we have a size calculator that helps you understand what size we recommend.

Another way to determine your appropriate belt size is to measure a belt that you already own. Start the tape measure at the second hole from the end measure to where it meets the buckle and round to the nearest centimeter. If you measure 80 centimeters, you will need a size Small.

Certain styles like the Brancusi and Undone Corset are one-sized-fits most. For custom sizing, please contact care@dehanche.com and allow between 8-10 weeks for our Italian workshop to have a piece custom made.

The carbon emission of the Hollyhock belt has been calculated in collaboration with the Doconomy. The entire carbon emission of this belt includes the entire lifespan of the animal’s methane emissions, all transportation and production. Déhanche has calculated the carbon emission as 27.19kg CO2e, or 0.03 tons, a number we strive to reduce. Based on the recommendation of Doconomy, we have benchmarked our internal carbon tax at $130 per ton.

For each belt purchased, we are committed to donating $4 to impactful microprojects that reduce and remove CO2 in collaboration with Milkywire’s Climate Transformation Fund.
