Experimental and Minimalist by design, the belt belt was inspired by the brass designs of the Romanian modernist sculptor Constantin Brâncuși. The soft adjustable belt strap is an ode to the 1970s design - when belts were more than an accessory, they were often the center piece that an outfit was styled around. The buttery soft leather allows for the belt to be worn relaxed around the hips or cinched to accent the waist. The Brancusi is for the woman with a sensibility to design, interested in an making a statement and who searches for an objects that impart character. Crafted in Italy.

The carbon emission of the Brancusi belt has been calculated in collaboration with Doconomy and the 2030 Calculator. The entire carbon emission of this belt includes the mining for metals of the buckles, all production and transportation and also the methane emissions during the animal’s lifespan. Déhanche has calculated the carbon emission as 39.27kg CO2e, or 0.04 tons. Based on the recommendation of Doconomy, we have benchmarked our internal carbon tax at $130 per ton.
For each belt purchased, we are committed to investing $5 in decarbonization microprojects in collaboration with Milkywire’s Climate Transformation Fund.
